Child of the King

Child of the King-If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? -Matt 7:11

What does it mean to be a Child of the King? Furthermore what does the King have to offer his child? 

How about: protection, joy, freedom, the power to overcome, confidence, hope, provision... The list goes on. Our King, Jesus Christ, is the provider of our every need, and what is even greater is the fact that all of humanity has the choice to be His child. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John1:12).

To be a Child of the King is to submit yourselves to His perfect will, and receive his blessings with great honor and joy. To be His child is to love Him, as well as one another. To be His child is to be a reflection of His goodness and light throughout the world. Now answer me this, are you a Child of the King?
